Red Lei Netting 12ft


A Hawaiian tradition and a significant part of Hawaiian culture for many decades. Leis were brought to Hawaii by early sea going Polynesians who wore them as symbols of giving, receiving, respect,, love, honor and friendship. Leis are strung together by a series of flowers, leaves, shells, feathers, bones, gum, candies or fabric and is worn around the neck. 

In the early boat travel days of the 1900s, lei vendors around Aloha Tower commonly greeted mainland visitors and returning residents with leis. Leis quickly became a symbol of Hawaii and the Aloha spirit. 

Leis are commonly given and received at special functions such as birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and graduations.
